Food Safety E Section

About the Section

The Section mainly provides testing support to the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department regarding food complaint cases. The wholesomeness of food products is verified. Major areas of work include the examination of food samples for deterioration, foreign substances and other parameters as appropriate to the complaint case. Analytical reports produced by the Section are admissible in courts of law as evidence of compliance or otherwise with the legislative requirements.
